What are the best upgrades possible for a stock 1995 ford taurus se with stock 140hp? 3.0L v6? Anything from torque upgrades, engine sound (always nice :)), hp upgrades, gas mileage, new engine, anything that comes to mind, costing money or not, requiring skill or not, i don't care, i just wanna know what my options are. I am especially looking for speed/hp/torque upgrades legal or not ;) if there are any available?
Thanks in advance! -Mike P.

Oh, side note...does that turbonator thing work as good as it is supposed to :S
I was kinda iffy about that one, but I have no clue...

Your best options for what you're looking for is to build an intake out of a cone filter and an MAF adapter and to replace your muffler with a performance muffler like a dynomax or flowtech.

The turbonator does not work, its a scam, be glad you asked and didn't just go out and buy it.

measure the diameter of your MAF (the big sensor that the air flows through out of your airbox and towards your engine) then go on google and search for an "MAF Adapter" with that diameter (use mm). Then get a cone filter, a rubber pipe, and some hose clamps at the auto parts store and put it all together.

alright, awesome, thanks! What does this exactly do, increase the airflow to my engine? if that's so, wouldnt simply taking the airbox off be just the same? or would it completely mess up my engine?

yes, it increases flow to the engine, you can't just take off the airbox and not replace it with anything because the air going into the engine needs to be filtered.
