Verge of Selling

Well I just found out that I'm going to need a $800 lift job for my engine since the ones I have are shot...This would add to the 2 cats that needed to be replaced, a distributor, and a fan within the 6 months that I've had the car.. The repairs are so expensive because the guy before me absolutly beat the shit outta the car... Is it worth keeping or should I sell?

weigh out your expenses and the possible expenses of entirely fixing your car, my friend and i just went through this w/ his car, we didn't fix everything at once, so it is ending up costing him far more than the car is worth to fix it

if the car has been beat on, check and see if it isn't possible that more stuff is mssed up tahn you think, weigh the cost of fixing everything, or going to another car, its not going to be easy selling this car w/ the conscience that it is already messed up.

i would look into just replacing the engine. if the guy beat on it, im sure you will have to deal with other problems in the near future. you could buy an engine for $1200-$1500 and be done with it.

or you could sell the car. its not our place to advise you on what to do. its your life, your money, and your debt if something else goes wrong. you do what you feel is right and what you can afford.
