Hi all,

I am new here and this is the first time I post pics of my models here in this section. Constructive criticism is very welcomed.

This kit is built OOB and is the third car I built in my young model building life, first one ever with this amount of decals...Personally I am very happy with the results.

A little background about this kit. I first started the 98 Monte Carlo kit about 2 years ago. Chasis and interior was completely built and the body was clear coated (This took about 1.5 months). Unfortunately I completely destroyed the body paint and decal by one stupid mistake while attaching the side mirrors. As you all know, attaching the side mirrors is pretty much the last thing you do on a model before completion. I was just one little step away from getting it done...After this incident, My model interest was slowed to a halt.

Unitl recently, I discovered this forum and started reading it almost everyday. I've learned a lot of tricks and tips on how to properly avoid mistakes I've made before and also learn some new tricks to help improve my skills. Slowly I regained the confidence to start this model kit again.

I've chosen to restart this kit with the 99 body because I like the roof scoop and the decals. With skills that I learned in the past three months, I was able to finally put a happy ending to this tragic story...:)

Here are the pics of my favourite car so far:

Looks very nice - especially for your third model. Any shots of the interior?

very good result, great shine and decals work so far
my only hint could be a delicate black wash on those fantastic rims

i can relate to that. my modelling practically came to a standstill with frustrations and work and other projects. now i cant wait to start on my next model. that is one sweet little car and it really turned out good, keep up the good work.
