Is there a trick to tail light assy removal on a 99 Tahoe? I have removed the two retainer screws inside the rear dorr pillar but the assy does not want to pop out. Is there a hidden retainer?

The retainers are in the fwd section. The assy's come out from the aft side towards the outside. It's the weather seals that are holding it in. Use something big like a spatula to pop it loose.

just hit the side of the light with your palm hit it towards the center of the car dont lose the screws down the dumb hole

stupid hole is right. i lost a screw down there. took forever to get out.
