The tb spacers are sposed to make a spiral effect with the air as it enters the tb thus slamming the air into the tb and giving you better hp and tq. With the polished tubing on a after market intake it already does a good job of getting the air there quicker so in the long run all the tb spacer does is do a better job of keeping crap away from your tb that may get inside of an after market intake.

60 degree v6 has changed there site around, or id link ya. Basicly those throttle body spacers don't have any noticeable decrease in intake temps. They claim to increase torque on your motor by lengthening the runners, seeing as how the throtle body goes into a plemum then into runners, the spacer doesn't increase runner length. basicly its a 200 dollar peice of plastic with holes in it. yay.

actually, I dynoed my cav with the spacer and then with out, it just moves the power band lower on the rpm scale by like 400-500 rpm's and a difference of like 8 ft lbs

Is that worth $100-$200 though? lol

8ft lbs, maybe 8 hp, pretty much the same as an intake and people pay more for those....

i put an air aid throtle body spacer on my z24 and ive noticed some diference,it idles better litle bottom end and top no mid i dont think.
yes it allows more air to the fuel mixture and does creat more horsepower.

This is all wrong. How can a spacer that goes between the trottlebody and intake mani add more air? Do you even know what spacers are meant to do? All they do is attempt to make the airflow going in to the intake mani flow in a spiral. They don't do jack squat for cavs. It's a complete waste of $100+

They only good thing they can be used for is putting a nitrous nozzle in it instead if drilling your nice purdy intake. But still i wouldn't pay 100 + for it. I'd make one at the shop if i wanted one. But i don't.

What about those Flo Blades, thigns you stick in your intake tube that look like jagged razors......that looks promising? It states it will create a vortex with the incoming air to force it into the TB quicker and more efficient...........this is one I could see working.......but this TB spacer....nahhhh......any thoughts?

Lol, u mean something like the turbonators or the tornado's huh?
Yeah me and my friends are gonna buy some of those and test them out, only $34.95 for a turbonator, chom change...

There's a reason why nobody has one and everybody and their mother say they're worthless. If a company can make promising looking parts that won't hurt the motor but do nothing at the same time, Of course they're going to because people who don't know any better are going to buy it.

We all have our own opinion, but jc whittney has a spacer for about $35 and i'm willing to try if I was sure about how to install it or i'd have to find a mechanic to install it!!

Dont waste your time w/ the throttle body spacer....they barely increase the size of the plenum and add to the air velocity into the engine itself...more or less a correction for a shitty stock design. For the money, i dont think its worth it...the butt dyno may disagree
Also the Turbonator is a total piece of shit....be prepared to be disappointed

I have a Helix throttle body spacer on my car and it does do one thing make you want to put your foot through the floor because you think just because it's wissling that it's doing something. There fore more throttle equals more power it's all a head game it doesn't work.

Something like that but it doesn't make a difference in Hp or Tq so why bother I learned my leason about cheap horsepower it just doesn't work.:nono:
