All things depending, the cav. Cobalts are built like tanks but minus the ability to take a hit.

ok thanks still tho im gonna try to find a positive answe because if it is my 03 cavy is gettin an internal swap for cobalt parts such as the ss supercharged engine and tranny, hopefully. im trying to see wat would be cheaper to do the engine/tranny/tech swap or just build up the 2.2 eco thats in it now; all i have is a short ram intake now but with xmas and the not too soon after tax refund added to wat i have now can make a good dent in the price either im guessing

I would just build up the eco. The ss/sc cobalt has the 2.0 ecotec in it. So if your looking to do something I would get a line on just the 2.0 s/c and slap it on the 2.2 eco.

are u saying just taking the s/c from a 2.0 and put it on my 2.2?

Yeah, they will match up. I have a buddy down here in my car club that is doing it on his 2.2 eco sunfire with the 2.0 s/c.

Not to sound like an ass but if you even had to ask that question you have no business being around an engine.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Cobalts are not built like tanks and that's why they can't take a hit.

The Cobalts are nice cars. The only problem is they are made real cheap, talk about tin foil.A little test you can do yourself is open a door on a Cobalt, grap the bottom of the door and pick up and down.Be careful, the flex will make you think twice about owning one.
