OKay, well

I have a 95 civic dx

And i got a new intake manifold for it....the new one is a d16y8

Was just wondering if you think I will need a new gasket

The guy who sold it to me said just to use the old one, but ive heard from a couple other people that i would definitely need a new one

Any input?

thanks

its an intake mani.......you don't need to use a gasket if you don't want to....its not like its under pressure....i know i'm exaggerating, but seriously just use the old one if it looks alright

the gasket is not metal. it is composite. unless your running reusable gaskets such as hondata gaskets or knockoffs, it HAS to be replaced. $12 aint going to kill you. it beats having to rerip the mani back off when you find out you have a vac leak ;) it might even save you some typing time when you come back in here and put up a new thread asking why your idle keeps jumping up and down ;)
