what kind of racing harness are you putting in and why?
If its a 4 or 5 pt...you need to mount it high enough behind the seat so that in the event of an impact, you aren't crushed down into the seat as you move forward....

Too true indeed. If you mount it too low and get in a pretty nasty crash it will do more harm then good. Chances are it will break both your shoulders like twigs.

It's a 4 point. We're trying to do it on my cousins' car cause he just put seats in and wants the belts to go with it. He drives a sunfire and what do you mean by mounting high enough. Thanks.

Dude i don't mean any disrespect to all the other cavy guys, but that is the ricerest thing you can do!! Why would you put 4 pts in a Sunfire.....unless its got a lot of other shit done....i just imagine a stock sunfire w/ Altezza tails and 4 pts....
You have to mount the anchors behind the seat high enough so that in the event of a crash, you aren't crushed into the seat...like PsychoJJ said, you'd break your shoulders...but that's if you're lucky because you would be a lot worse off if you compressed discs in your back....
