To fix it or blow it up?

I am new to the forum and joined because I found them to be very helpful in making decisions. I was excited to start fixing up my 1995 eagle talon esi when I started having problems with my tie rod ends and other things such as fuel pump, power steering belt, busted oil pan, and random minor engine leaks . During the process of fixing the tie rod ends the mechanic told me that I have a leak in my rack and it would need to be replaced. I drove it home, parked it and returned to see that ALL of my power steering fluid is on the concrete of my appartment complex. I am not sure what it is going to cost to fix it. It is leaking a little around the new tie rod end, but mostly is being forced out of the resivour. This is my second engine in that car and the body is not in great shape. I love my car and I dont want to see it go, but enough is enough. Is it worth it? I have roughly $8,000 in this car.

Welcome to AF.
Now you say you have put around $8,000 in that car, and you still have problems with it. I hate to say it but I think you would be better off to sell it and try and find another car. Unless you just love the car and want to fix it up, its probable not worth. You need a car that will be dependable and not have to worry about it breaking down everywhere.

What exactly have you put into a N/T that would amount to $8k, and still have problems like your having?
