Compression Test

Can someone give me the low down on how to perform a compression test, or if there is a link or something to go to. Any info would be appreciated.............

you have to remove the spark screw in the compression tester disable the fuel system by tripping the inertia switch or removing the fuel pump fuse if you have fuel injection or unplug the coil if you have a carburetor. Have somone crank the engine for about 5 seconds and look at the tester, repeat procedure for all cylinder, byw if you have a 4 cylinder with 8 spark plugs you only have to do 4 spark plugs not all 8
