yeah, most hockey players in canada chew.. i don't know about the states.. if you ever watch todd bertuzzi from the vancouver canucks in an interview, he's always got a pouch. chew is acquired. you'll normally get sick the first couple of times you do it.. if you happen to swallow any of it then you'll feel like shit for a couple of hours.. not good for the stomach

i smoke cigs when im drunk, but i dont think that would count me as a smoker? I usually drink, then smoke like 10cigs, then throw up and promise myself to never smoke cigs again (even though ill do it later when i get drunk next time). youve never heard of fiberglass in dip? Its the oldest trick known, it cuts your lips up so the chew gets in your blood faster, and you get hooked faster.

I am pretty sure it is little silicon pyrmids. And yeah their purpose is to cut little pores up in the tissue so that the effect is faster.
