What is the biggest tires (widest) you can put on a stock 16" rim mine are the 5 spoke. I was looking at tires and these http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+F1+GS-D3
seem to get really good reviews, but I cant find if they would fit on my stock rims thanks

Are they 215's or 235's stock?
ROUDA

you could go all the way upto 255 45 R16 but I wouldnt think it would wear right. 235 55 R16 is the stock size for the car. You could use 245 45 R16 would be good with no problems, better handleing and will last a little longer.
I work Goodyear tire and answer this question alot.

Luos you are going to love those tires. I ran kdw on the grand am, stuck to everything, same thing with the ss. Warm them up, they are difficult to spin with a stock motor...

275 on the fronts is crazy talk... you will have to fight with your steering wheel on all but the smoothest, freshest-paved roads. plus 275s may or may not rub the wheelwells when turning, not sure

Mr. Luos
12-22-2005, 10:57 AM
Yup. Stockers are 275 all around.
WS.6 and SS had them.
Car is coming along. Motor is in it, and the car did see some sunlight 2 weeks ago.
It does roll!!!!
I have a 5 day weekend starting today, so I have about 2 1/2 days to work on it. About to head out to the garage right now actually.

after you get that car running let me know how those tires work out for you Luos, I'm going to be in the market for a new set next summer

The KDW's are only going on the front. I am running DR's on the rears. I don't think too many street tires will hook once it is running.
I have heard nothing but good about the KDW's as well. Heard of them going close to 30K if they are driven nice.

Time at this point.
My pulley finally showed up today.
This wiring harness is a BITCH though. Not sure where everything goes exactly. An extra set of hands would be great right about now.
Soon....with some help.

Gotta find a Cobra willing to lose for the camera first.
I just want to have it start up without any problems sometime over this 5-day weekend.
Seems that I already got bored with it for today though. Might run to the store and get something to eat then get back at it.
All the sensors are in place, just gotta get the harness routed to them properly.

I have 245 eagle f1's on my car. Expensive tires and they dont stick to anything. Good rain tires though. I think the compound is too hard. Even after warming them up it didnt help much. I have a set of bfg kda's that im putting on soon though. All that I have heard and seen is good so hopefully they will be better tires.
