In Car & Driver they have an UpFront article on the new Skyline. The US version will be identical to the new JDM version. At first glance it's pretty damn ugly, but it grows on you. Not a boxy version any more, more curves, different headlights, different taillights (round ones gone), and more. It will be the Infiniti G35.

The 2.6L I6 is gone now with a V6. The Skyline in Japan has a 3.0L V6 making 260HP the same amount as the 2002 Maxima.

The American version gets a 3.5L V6 from the Maxima that pumps out about 270HP.

Base price around $30K.

Thanks for the post Sledge, by now I'm sure all the die hard Skyline lovers should know this info but it's good to hear about it:D

There have also been news on this in Automotive magazine and MT so it seems pretty solid that the 4 door model will be coming state side. Unfortunately I feel that this model is nothing more than a luxuirous Nissan Altima, structually almost identical:( Maybe it's just me or because I love the TRUE Skyline so much that this new version doesn't impress me. Oh well.

BTW: GT3 Top speed so far with my origianl Miata (J) 197.6MPH, Stage 2 turbo, Stage 2 weight lowering, full tranny, ECU, Port polish. From the look of it I though you could appreciate that kind of info:D Hope Sony gets online gaming going so we can race online:D

The US Skyline defenitly is similar to the new Altima, but the headlights and taillights are different.

Cool about GT3 dude, I haven't tested the top-speeds on any of my cars, yet.

PD is working on a online network though called GTN (Gran Turismo Network). It will be sweet.
