ok, i am about to buy this 92 civic DX from a buddy of mine. his dads a mechanic and blah blah blah im gettin it for real cheap and its a nice ride.
the only problem is the head gasket is fried. i dont have enough money to throw a B18 in there coz other wise i would. i dont wanna swap in another D series nor rebuild the D15 it has in it now.
Theres this stuff on the private non-commercial market for mechanics called "steel seal" >>www.steelseal.com...
anyway yea it claims it can repair head gaskets and cracked heads, etc. by using its high tech chemical that is heat reactive, then it hardens into a permanent fix and will not clog up the cooling system, etc.
HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS STUFF? AND IF SO, WHAT HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT IT WORKING? I figure im just gonna try it, it cant hurt--- and we'll see what happens.
Thanks

if your head gasket is no good, why dont you just swap out the head gasket and have a reliable car to drive from point a to point b?
