Hows it goin folks. I just have a quick simple question to ask. Hoping somebody will help me out. My girlfriend is a new driver and recently started driving her dad's 2001 Odyssey. She is havin trouble moving the drivers seat close enough so she could properly reach the steering wheel and pedals. She isn't that short though(5'4), but she is saying that she can't find the switch that moves the seat closer. She only found the switch that moves the back rest, not the seat itself. Her dad can't find the switch either. And since Im not around at the moment, I can't really help her out either. Can somebody please tell me the location of that switch that moves the drivers seat back and fourth? Thank guys.

If im not mistaken the Oddy only came with either a manual or an 8-way power seat. Usually there is a switch directly foward of the on that reclines the seat. Is about 2 inches long and it also tilts the seat bottum up and down and sliding it foward does just that and same sliding towards the back of the car.
If thats not there look under the front edge of the seat and see if there is a lever.

Yeah, thanks for the response man. I really appreciate it. She definatly has power seats. No lever. Using your post and MS Paintbrush lol, we came to the conclusion that the 2 inch switch you are talking about next to the recliner switch is not working. When moving the switch, there is no movement of the seat, and no sounds either. Kinda hard to believe since the car has only around 50k, and I generally never hear Honda having electrical issues, not to mention any issues.
I know there could be a few things at fault, but lets just say the switch is no good. How much do you think someone should expect to spend on a peice like that? Close to $150 if not more, right? Aftermarket should be fairly cheaper though. Or dealer only peice? Just askin cause I checked out your profile, and says your Honda tech. Thanks alot.

I don't believe the motors are separately sold. I believe they only come as part of the frame which can be pricely. If i had to guess i would say 500-700 bucks.

Hm.. Well Im guessing thats why her dad is not really paying much attention to it. We'll figure something out.
Either way, thanks alot. :bigthumb: If you ever have any 3rd gen Maxima questions lol, dont be a stranger. ;)
