I'm looking into dropping my car but hate suspension work and don't know what is all involved in doing this. My Grand Prix sits 5.5 inches off the ground right now. I want to lower it about 2.5 - 3 inches. What could I expect to pay for this and what else must be done. Obviosly I'll need new wheels and tires but what about shocks, springs, and other suspension components? How does a suspension drop compare to a simple spindle drop? Thanks for any help?

i think you just need adjustable coilover springs

I doubt you can lower your Grand Prix more than 2.2" safely.

The lowest springs made for your car that I can find are Intrax (1.7") - http://www.drivewire.com/performanceparts/intrax/pontiacgrandprixloweringsprings.html

Also, you'll need to get some performance shocks, the only ones I can find for your car are KYB's which run $219/set at www.shox.com
