I just had the same problem and was able to remover the existing sub in about 40 minutes. Now that I have done it once I am sure that I could get it down to about 25 if I tried.

The first step is to take out the two bolts that hold on the passenger side seat belt in the back seat (not the third row, right behind the front seat.) There is a plastic piece covering the top bolt. It just snaps off and doesn't break, at least mine didn't. The bolt on the bottom portion of the seat belt is a torque nut and a pain to get off. I didn't have a torque wrench so I just used a wrench.

Next start peeling off the plastic. I started at the seatbelt that I had just removed and it went pretty easily. I didn't have to try that hard to once the seat belt was removed.

Now you can begin removing the screws that are around the sub. Again it was pretty easy. You will also want to remove the speaker wire from the old sub.

This is the part that confuses people. There is a bolt that goes into the sub from the back of the subs housing. To get to it you need to remove the entire housing. Luckily it is not hard to do. There are three bolts that hold the housing to the car. Mine were gold in color and they were spaced out as a triangle with two at the top and one at the bottom.

Once you have the bolts out it is easy to slip out the housing and remove the bolt. The sub will just fall out. I had a little trouble getting my housing back in. It is a perfect fit and I wasn't really paying attention to how it fit before I took it out so it took me a minute to get it back in perfectly but it wasn't that tough.

I hope this helps.

Dave
