Not Idling

I have a 96 Dakota with a 3.9. Today it started with no problem but won't idle. It runs as long as you give it gas but as soon as you let off it stalls. The only way to move it is to powerbrake it to keep it running. It doesn't miss or show any other symptoms. I need help ASAP as this is my only transportation. Thanks!

birddog... I too had some idle problem till I saw on this forum a suggestion to spray some carb cleaner into the carb, worked for me

yes clean the throttle body bore with a cleaner and a toothbrush and make sure the battery is good and charged up you may have to disconnect the 3 connectors on the pcm for about 15 minutes to reset the adaptive memory also as you won't know if you fixed the problem once the pcm learns the memories for ais and fuel trim
