car won't start - cold weather

I have a '91 RS, V6, 80k miles. Car was fine in warmer weather. Once dipped below 40 degrees, the car will not start at all. Turns over fine. Fires a little, but will not start. I have spark on all 6 cylinders. I smell gas. I changed IAC valve, no help.

Can't check codes, ran battery down & removed to charge. Any suggestions?
