Heater blower motor

I have a 1996 GMC Sierra 1500 diesel. The heater blower only works after you hit it with a hammer. How do you take it out so I can put in a new motor?

I'd like to help you, but I honestly can't. Very few of the people on the S10 forum own a full sized Chevy or GMC truck
