Small annoying arrow thingy..

When in B-Spec there's sometimes a small red/yellow arrow thingy pointing left just above the car(s) on the lower part of the screen. What does it mean.. ? :screwy:

That arrow appears over a car that is gaining (in terms of time in that sector) on the car in front of it.
