Hi all,

Been a very long time for me since I have posted on here, so to anyone that knows or remembers me "how have things been?"

Anyone here is one of the models that I actually finished and am quite proud of! Dont laugh, for me its not a bad effort. Decided to go with the British Racing Green and I was very happy how it went on and the colour aswell. Anyway enjoy the pics

I built one of these once in Metallic Blue and remember it was a nice little kit.I like the contrasting red you have used on the seats,it goes well with the British Racing Green paintwork.
Nice job on the engine as well.

Nice build, I have not seen one of these on here before. I think the color you chose works well for this car and the red interior sets the whole car off tieing it together very well. Good job and welcome back.

Hi Dublinguy and welcome back, I've got one of those litle Lotus Seven's somewhere, I painted it to represent the car that Patrick Magoohan drove in the '60s television show The Prisoner, I'll dig it out and post some pics, maybe we could have a thread all about Lotus cars if there isn't one already that is.

Not to hijack your thread but here's a quick photo of my Lotus Seven in Metallic Blue.I think this was my first car model after years of making aeroplane kits. The inspiration for the model was the cover of the Chris Rea album Auberge.I sometimes wish all car kits were like this one, nice and simple and out of the box!!

Yes it is a PE part, definately makes a difference in the kit.

Stevenoble, dont worry about posting the pic, your car looks great, looks good in the blue.

To everyone, thanks a million for the kind words and support. Will post up another car in the motorsports section that I have finished (There aint many of them in my collection!!!..lol)

Nice, clean, original car - I like it.

I have not seen one of these on here before.

There has been a few, but not many. It's nice to see some together here.

I built the one below years ago, not my best result, but it was a fun kit to build. My inspiration was also 'The Prisoner' TV series.

Very nice, especially to see a traditional roadgoing one for a change w/o the ubiquitous racing parts like Minilites/rollbar, multi-color paintjob  .

Mogster,

Looks nice, love the yellow on the nose, had thought about doing that but changed my mind (obviously!!)

ZoomZoom

Yeah I noticed that myself about the car thats why I went with the road version.

Thanks again for all the kind comments, certainly makes me want to share more of my models on here and strive to improve my building techniques.

Nice build of a great little classic. It is a bit rare to see one around here in its original stock Lotus form. Just got one of these myself, but I fear mine won't end up stock. :disappoin

What a nice build.Great job on the engine bay(Sooooooo cleaaaan!! :ylsuper: ) Keep it up, more stuff like this is what we need, the models that no one thinks about, too many civics and S2000s!

gbarrbr,

I was very lucky to come across it so decided to snap it up, thanks for the comments. I wont hold it against you that you are a Sao Paolo fan *GRRRRRR*....only kidding!

arknok784,

Gotta agree with you about the whole civic/s2000 thing (no offence meant to anyone who has built one!) but I gotta admit I love some of the older little sports cars, just something about them! Also my first few kits have been sports cars so to built something like this that has little or no decals was a pleasure, although it does put more empahsis on the paint job and I am proud of that.

Ciaran

PS thank you again by all the kind comments I must admit I have been left a little bit speechless by how much people have appreciated it and I will certainly be more forth coming in sharing my work

I love 'em ALL :evillol:

About 75% of my stash is made up of 50's, 60's and 70's sports and roadsters. Having said that, I have to force myself to call '70s cars "older" since they are actually younger than me :sly:  :smokin:
