ok I have a 91 civic hatch w/the dpfi 1.5 d15b1 engine.well here is what happend I bought it and it had a engine that smoked so I decided to put another one in myself(I have done this many times) so I remove the old engine and switch the tranny and put the new engine in well the engine ran just fine in the parts car I got it out of but when I put it in hooked it all up double checked it all and then tried to start it and it took forever to start it(like 20 mins) well then after it started we test started it like 5 times I took it for a test drive and it ran fine and then parked it for the night.I got out on the morning and went to start it and it ept throwing a code 16 injector code and I have checked the injectors and replaced both and it still did it.well that engine was just gonna be a temp engine anyway atleast till i got my new engine with only 102 k miles so I received it a few days ago and I switched the engines and it started fine no probs for a day or so and then I went to show the guy I got the car from in the first place and I went to start it after I showed him and it threw the code 16 again but has only done it once I am gonna check the fuel pump and regulator etc etc tomorrow but do any of you guys have any idea what it could be cuz I am stumped so any help would be great email me at [email protected]

well its a d15b1 and I did recet it by disconnecting the battery for several hours this was done when I relocted the battery to the rear and right now I am changing the main relay because I read that some people have had this problem with them because of high temp weather and it gets to 115 here and the car sat for 6 months in direct sunlight at that tep pretty much if that doesnt fix it i will post again.

Get out your DMM and see whats going on with them man. check for any high resistance or low voltage, or a really low pulse width. also take a stethscope and put it on the injector while the trouble code is present and see if you can hear clicking, it should become faster as the RPMs increase.

the problem lies in the injectors, the wiring, or the ecu.
