Turn Signals whackin out

Have a 2001 Ford Focus that the turn signals blink faster than you can imagine. I have replaced every bulb in the front and rear and no change. I do have a cracked rear lens that may have taken water but I checked and cleaned all connections. Any ideas? Relays? Locations? Thanks

just a guess, but have you changed your flasher? it's possible that (assuming it's always been like this) that the improper flasher was installed, also if you used led's for any of them that can cause the problem as well

No Leds, have not checked the flasher. Any car built after the 70's is foreign to me. (yes, I'm old) I do remember back then the flasher was round and chrome and located under the dash against the firewall. Before I search in 10 degree weather, am I on the right track? Appreciate any help you can give.

well iknow that allot of flashers on newer cars aren't the nice big easy to find shiny metal they used to be, i know on my old car (currently inbetween cars) it was a smaller black plastic box, and of all places it was hidden up under the dash (took a bit of reaching and searching) so you may need to talk to somone who knows exactily where it is, well i hoe that helps, good luck!

You're not going to like this...you have to remove the panel below the steering wheel where the fuse box is, then to make matters just a smidge easier, you can unscrew the the fuse box. The flasher is one of the black relays, and I think that the chart on the fuse box panel will tell you. If not, I've got a Hayne's manual, and I can let you know.

I'll try it. Big heat wave coming here the next couple of days and I'll get a chance to check it out. It's going to get into the 30's. Thanks for your responses!!
