crx doors

Do you guys know if anyone makes aftermarket doors for an 89 crx? A friend of mine has a 300z and he says that he found some for his that were made out of a type of plastic or fiberglass. They were a major decrease in weight compared to OEM doors. I've searched online and can't find anything. Any suggestions?

sorry i havent heard of them. but just incase they do exist be carefull when driving. wouldent want to crash in that car.

yeah really, id hate to get t-bone in a car with fiberglass doors.....maybe just the skin of the door is fiberglass?

I have lambo dooors and it would be nice to have a door that weighed only about ten pounds or less. That is a good point about getting t-boned though.

There are several cars out there with fiberglass or urethane(plastic) door skins, but the inside of the door still has a metal bar just like any other door. The skin of a door don't weigh much at all, its the inside of it that weighs the most, and if you get rid of that without having something else between you and the door skin, your an idiot. I'm all for saving weight on cars, but you don't shave weight to sacrafice safety like that.
