`87 Firebird GTA

I thought I would post this here since it`s been a while. I built this several years ago for my brother. I tried to get every last detail correct, down to the license plate. Modifications include a roll cage built from aluminum, nitrous system, braided lines, and a custom 4" exhaust. Let me know what you think.

gorgeous, just plain gorgeous .did you mold the t tops into a roof? I know mine came with t tops, but it might've been a different kit.

This one came as a hard top. I don`t think Monogram made a t-top version in 1/24 scale, so maybe you have the AMT/MPC kit?
I wish Revell would rerelease this one.

Yep, I think it was the AMT kit, I don't have the box though.

Sorry, dont have any new pics yet. Maybe over the holidays I will try to snap a few.
For the tailight, I applied a black wash to the backside of the lens. The small rectangles are actually raised on the back, so they "pop up" through the wash leaving them clear. Then I just painted the red over the grid. The black wash fills in the grid, so the grid lines stay black while the small squares inside the grid are red.

These 1:1 cars (3rd gen GTA`s and IROC-Z`s in particular) I believe are aging well. I am betting that these cars will be collectors items in about 10-20 years. I mean, can you imagine how much a car like this will stand out on the road if it is nearly perfect condition?

Yep, that is an accurate PA plate, including the registration sticker at the time I built it! I made it exactly like his license plate.

Damn, that looks fine.. my buddy just gave me this kit on the weekend to do somthing with but its missin the side skirts so that sucks, gotta figure somthing so i can get it built..
