Just had this problem the fan won't spin at all and only spins when i jump the fan to the battery. Tried to jump the thermo switch but nothing happens. Replaced cooling fan relay, the other fan relay grounded to frame, and replaced the cooling fan fuse. any suggestions? instead of making another switch

I had a similar problem with my Civic. Sounds like your fan motor is good. There's a few things that can be the culprit:
1.) Coolant temp switch (located in the thermostat housing)
2.) Coolant temp sensor (located in the front of the motor)
3.) Relay & fuse
4.) Thermostat
5.) Radiator cap
Check your radiator and hoses for cracks/leaks. Also try flushing your radiator.

Does the secondary fan come on with the A/C?
