Hey everyone. I have a question for someone. I have a 92 lumina Euro. The lower brake lights are stuck on all the time and center mount is out.
I just rellaced the brake light switch behing the steering column. To my suprise it didn't fix it. I put the key in and the car will not turn over, it kills the battery. The only way I can turn them off is to pull the fuse. Any help?
Thanks in advanced.

Does the center light go on and off properly with brake use? It probably does because it is on a separate circuit from the main brake lights.
The main brake light circuit goes through the turn signal switch in the steering column. Usually the brake lights don't want to work at all or intermittently. It's odd that yours want to stay on all the time.
Wiggle your turn signal handle and move it to left turn and right turn and see if the brake lights respond.
You should get a Haynes or a Chiltons if you're going to work on this thing.
Good luck....never give up!

One guy here a while back had a problem like this with his, and nothing seemed to fix it. turned out the soundproofing on the kneebolster panel under the dash was slipping down and not letting the pedal return fully....
