I am the lucky owner of a 99 S/10 Pickup and the last year or so I been having this problem with the engine stalling when it was moist out. I have taken it to two different well know shops in my area and they were unable to figure out the problem. Both shops put the diagnostic computer on it and found no error codes. It seems like the truck will act up when ever it wants and so it becomes very frustrating, in fact both shops I took the vehicle to sprayed water on the engine and were unable to get it to act up. So I am close to pushing it off a cliff or something. But then I was talking to a mechanic and he told me to check out the crankshaft sensor. I guess that could cause the engine to act funny and will not show up on the computer as a error. I called my local dealer and the part is cheap, but my question is where on the engine is the crankshaft sensor, how hard or easy is it to replace and if anyone else has had the same problem. Any advise would be helpful, and thank you in advance.

Have you check the wires and cap. The stock caps suck.

How about your fuel filter? You can try the above link and do a searh there or join and post the question to the forum.

The key to your problem lies most likely in the first sentence of your post...when it's moist out. You probably have a problem with shorting spark plug wires, coil leads or cracked cap. I suggest running the engine at night, spray the above engine parts with a mister bottle and look for the blue arcing or crackling sound. Sometimes it can be solved by pushing the connector deeper into the insulating cap, but otherwise I would suggest replacing cap and wires and using a good water-repellant spray on them after installation. Good luck.

Thank you to all that help with suggestions! I got hold of a diagnostic computer and if registered a fault code with the injector circuit. So I am looking into getting that fixed. So thanks again.
