Major Grounding Problem!!!

Ok guys, I was driving my Talon the other day in the daytime and as I was hitting bumps in the road my cd player began to fuzz and pop in the speakers. I switched it over to the radio and it was still doing it, then the whole thing went dead. I pulled out the fuses under the hood and found the blown one and replaced it and thought I was home free... Now, I'm sure some of you are thinking this isn't a big problem since it was the radio... But, last night I was driving home in the dark and I noticed when I was hitting bumps EVERYTHING was shorting out. My lighters were bumping on and off, all my interior lights and the car kept losing spark and trying to stall... I checked all my grounds from the battery and to the frame and everything around it. I have no idea where else to check and I don't wanna have the thing die on me or blow any other fuses in this weather.
Any ideas at all???

Take it in. It's too hard to tell. Is the connectors on the battery clean and secure? There's no mice in your garage, is there? Take it to a shop, they can pinpoint the problem for you.

Everything is clean and very tightly connected... I don't think mice would be a problem since my car is outside...

LOL. maybe a mouse ate through something. It could happen, in a worst case scenario.
I don't know what to tell ya, man.

Have you checked all of the grounds including chaisis and engine grounds?? I had the same problem with my crx and it turned out to be an engine ground. Like David-b said take it to a shop and they will find it easy, that is if you can't. just dont go replacing things willy nilly like I was about to do on the crx lol and if that doesnt work, roundhouse kick it

Don't you ever speak ill of Mr Chuck, got that?
As to your problem blackcrow, try making a grounding kit (you can get all the parts at radioshack (napa too but they cost too much) I think it's like 2 or 4 gauge) try making good connection from the block to the chasis and tranny to chasis.

If I do that, then it should solve any grounding problems with the engine and necessary electrical accessories?

If it is really a grounding issuea that should help. I think I'm gonna do it this weekend on my eclipse. I'll let you know how much all the stuff costs.

Ok, that would be sweet. I probably won't have the money to do something like that till after all this christmas shopping is done and over with anyways... Are you planning on grounding it all in the same factory spots or in new spots? Because I donno about you, but I am gonna be relocating my battery to the trunk and I'm not sure what all I will have to change when I do that.

My battery is in the trunk too. It makes the engine bay look a lot cleaner. I think all you need is like 2 or 0 gauge wire and basically extend the positive to the back of the car and just ground it back there. I'm probably gonna ground it in new spots and leave the old ones in place.

Holy shit... Why do we have to ground it to the body a zillion times? And what the hell is up with the exhaust manifold???
BTW, a very nice find.
