Heat...sort of...sometimes...

My heat seems to vary in temperature each time a run the truck. It's totally random, but as an example let's say first thing in the morning it will heat up to luke warm and stay that way, but if I have to stop and shut it off to get gas, when I start it back up the heat will be much warmer. I've even shut it down and started it back up at a traffic light a few times to get more heat. Sometimes that helps, other times it doesn't and a few times its made the air go to full cold and stay that way...a real treat when its 20 degrees!
My temp gauge was reading low (at the 1/4 mark) so I just had my T-stat replaced and the system reverse flushed and filled w/new Dex. I've also replaced the rad cap with a Stant. Now the temp gauge is back where it should be (1 1/2 clicks left of center) which really helps my gas mileage, but my heat problem remains. I have also observed that the heat seems to be warmer coming out of the floor than the vents. Even at its warmest it never is as hot as it should be.

just had the same exact problem with my rig blew out the heater core with a garden hose and heats ya up quick know.

yip, get your heater core flushed, they should have done that when they serviced and flushed your truck.
Take it back and tell them to do the job properly.
