4wd hi does not work

I have a 2004 blazer while in nutural you shift into 4wd hi it will flash a few times and then go back to 2wd but if you shift it into 4wd low it will lock in .I.ve tried putting it in 4wd hi on the fly and the same thing happens could anybody help me out (my wifes truck you know how that goes :confused: :confused: :confused: thank you for your time hope someone can help [email protected]

there are tons of threads out there on this issue. Look for "4x4 problems" or "4hi not working" or "logic lock." I had this same issue on my 95. All I ended up doing is disconnecting the negative to the battery for at least 30 min. It resets the computers and chances are...it'll work. Check the thread history...lots of good and educational stuff! Good luck.

I'm the wife, you know how that goes! (Ha, Ha, Ha) We can't thank you enough for the information. We did exactly as you had suggested and it worked. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you! We have some horrendous winters here and I feel so much safer with my 4x4. Now I can hit the road and feel safe once again. Merry Christmas to you!
