I just sold my car today to Humanvr4 on 3si (Jerry). I know it has a great home now, but it's pretty hard to now when I go in to my garage and my baby is not going to be in their. Pretty sad.
Here is a picture of my car:

Ohh yeah, let me know what u guys think I should buy next. I want something reliable and nice and that is capable of running low to high 12s with not too much mods. I was thinking maybe a NSX.
Thanks
Mahdi

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. You're 3000GT is one of my favorites because of the perfect lines and those saleen rims *drool*. On the subject of another car...I'd have to say either an NSX or you might even be able to get an R32 Skyline. I've been a fan of RHD cars for a long time. Good luck!

Well I'm sad to hear you sold it...I think it was one of the cleanest vr4s on here, but at least it has a good home.
As far as where to go next, I honestly don't know what the aftermarket for an NSX looks like, judging by the car's original pricetag, I'm going to guess it's alot like ours. Whereas Supras have a HUGE aftermarket. I guess it really all depends on which you can find and afford. Both are great cars.

man...i cant imagine selling my car...but if your bored with it, gotta do what you gotta do.
My opinion for your next whip:
Skyline>Turbo Supra>NSX>RX7
Even if you cant get your hands on an R34, Skyline will just get more respect than anything else. I dont know what your looking to spend, but you can probably pick up an R34 in good condition for 40K or so. Theres actually a few on autotrader right now.

Thanks a lot for the comments!!
Well I just got tired of the whole shit breaking all the time. I dident want to get shit fix everyday and then sit in my car and be like ohh what's that sound and then have to fix it. I am person that likes my car to be perfect and I will try to pay as much as I can to make it perfect. Clean it everyday, wax it every week, buy the best brand parts, etc. etc. only use OEM parts and doing that with a VR4 it just kills you. Every car has maintence but I am sorry to say this but Mitsubishi dident now wtf they were doing when they build the VR4, they got so carried way on the design and Tech. that they did not care or pay attention on how reliable the car is going to be after it passes the 60k mile point. Every car has weakness but VR4 had to many for me. But the car was a beauty, it turned head every were I went. It was like having a girl friend that is hot ass hell and gives you what you want but gives to you with attiude and you have to buy her shit all the time and take her to the mall and have to buy here stuff.
Overall it was a great car and had time of my life with it, and It was almost worth the all the headaches but I think my main problem was that I was tired of the whole used car thing.
I was thinking about buying a Supra or a NSX but after chating with my father I decided to go with a new car. So next week I am going to buy a brand new car. I am going to keep that till I can put my order in for the 2007/2008 GTR.
Again thanks a lot
and sorry about the long post.

Your car is a very nice, as far as I know that in U.S the cars is Left hand drive, skylines are right hand drive, so they convert it to Left hand drive, becareful, if it is not converted well, it will cause you dangerous problems.

Actually, thats a common mis-perception. They don't have to be switched to LHD, and can remain RHD as long as you get them legalized. Our mail-trucks are RHD, and they work just fine. It's actually the matter of legalizing them. It costs around $25,000 and motorex is now out of business, so it's going to be hard to get them legalized at all.

It is boring to drive a RHD car except if I am left handed, GT-R'S aren't expensive, I guess getting a good used GT-R 33 costs about 12000$ or around that if modified. Why legalizing the car?

If by $12,000 you mean $45,000, then yes, it's not expensive. Trust me, you do not see Skylines in the US. Ever. In fact, I have never seen one in person in my entire life, and I've seen some pretty rare cars. The reason for this is solely because of the fact that they're hard to legalize. In order for you to drive them on the road, you have to have your car pass certain tests that the government deems appropriate. Emmissions, etc. It's not as simple as just importing a car from a company with completely different rules on saftey and other important aspects that the manufacturers have to take into perspective. Hope that helped you understand a little bit better

I dont know how it works in different states, but in NY you can register "custom" vehicles. whats to stop someone from ripping the VIN off and registering one as a custom? Granted, it will still have to be made to pass emissions, but thats not too hard.

NOOOOOOOOO!! When did this happen?? I would have bought your car within the day of finding out it was for sale!! What the helll!!!! How did I miss that over there on 3si?? aww man, now i'm gonna cry :_(
BlinkRA - I think they would know a Skyline when they see one...not to mention doing that would probably ruin it's value...good point though.

The reason its hard to see skylines in the US is the fact that last i herd motorex had only legalized 73 skyline i think 20 somthign were R34s. Rbmotoring i think was trying to take over the legalizing process. I would wait for teh 07\08 infiniti GTR thats going to be sooo sweet. Ne way if you get a NSX rember this year or next is the last for them. Also another skyline note for us 2014 the R32 fall under the 15 year law.As far the kit/custom thing you would have to import a skyline chassis then body, then engine drive train. US customs would spot the whole car and hold it till you sent to a leglizer. The skyline is so hard to import because there is no simular car here in america. Other forigien cars can be improted here in america if there is a simular car. Check the registerd list of RI b4 though. I know there area a few big names that have websites but not on the RI list. This means they coudl import but not legalize. If you want to know how i know all this i looked a pulsar GTiR the skyline bastard child. Found websites that imported them but no legalizers.

If you actually look into it alot of what motorex did you can do yourself, on the skyline forum there is alot about importing them, if you have a friend in the military you could have him import one in (no customs) I have heard of alot of Army guys having them brought straight to the midwest and then titling them... other than the coast most areas have no clue that its supposed to have all sorts of documentation, and some minor tweaks, mostly if i remember right the big deal is bells and whistles, uncle sam thinks if we dont hear an alarm when the key is still in the auto maker is liable for lawsuits...
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=339883
I actually read the entire DMV documentation on the things that needed to be added or changed to make it legal and most was just stupid crap, for the most part they noted that mechanical was up to or better in all categories than most necessary, then I decided to get a VR-4 (honestly).

The only ppl that really know what is needed is motores because they did the crash tests on the skylines and have not sold the info to anybody last i herd thorugh for 1.5mil you could have it Yeah alot of bells and whistles. Plus support braces int eh doors, front, rear bumpers. also on the R34 currently there OBD-II system isn't legal and there is no conversion harness. Also if you improt through japan and the car makes its way to CA you have to pass Calaforia emissions. On the eastside you have to lan in NY or FL if my understanding is right. There are a few discussed wise to bypass everything but remeber if you are caught you will face a hefty fine, jail time or nice fraud charge, and you car WILL BE CRUSHED. Just better off to do it legally. Now out of curisoty has nebody though bout brining a jap VR4 over???? Hmmm i must investagate. Time to start badggering the registerd RIs :D

I would really enjoy it if Motorex would stop being so stingy about it. Either start importing cars to the US again, or give the information to someone who will actually use it.
