1988 Rear Window

I just bought a 1988 Jimmy with some minor issues. The biggest is the rear window will not open. It has the handle that is rotated counter-clockwise to release the window and clockwise to release the gate. It wont turn to unlock the window but it will to unlock the gate. Is there a fix for this or do I need to buy a new lock?

More than likely the lock mechanism is just rusty or just gunked up with road dust. Open everything up and spray the unlocking mech. with break cleaner, using towels to catch overspray and then spray with a good spray lube( NOT WD-40) Prob. should go away :grinyes:
