ok I havn't done a poll in ages. Its been a while and alot of you know me and my car and the controversy that surrounds it ;). Its time to see how you all really feel. So, anonymously, you can state how you think my looks. Pics in my sig tell enough, but the link in my sig leads to more.

I won't be offended by the vote, since I pretty much know how its going anyways. I just want to see, thats all. No flames please.

Dude...you gotta have flow when it comes to customizing a car. The Supra wing is more of a flashy show add-on while there's *nothing* else on the car that's flashy. It just doesn't flow with the rest of the car and tends to give ppl the impression that your car is fast, which it is not. So that treads deeply into ricer category.

Reversly you have the 14" wheels that look like they're either stock or Pep-Boyz finest. Hey, they might be what you want to auto-x with or whatever, but again, they don't flow with the wing or the car.

Other than that, you haven't done much anything else to it, so...

are you ever going to do anything to your car? i think its been the some for a year

Alright....how old are you? If you're old enough to drive, you're too old to call yourself by a fictional cartoon character...lose that...and the wing...and you'd have a stock civic....start there...but if the wing is your thing keep it....it's your car....

now i know wut its like to take downs on your car, cuz my car used to be real nasty. (you guys remember my euros and white type r grill and red led lights?) ANYWAYS, im not gonna lie to you. all i can tell that youve done to the thing is that ugly ass spoiler. thats why its called a supra spoiler, cuz its made for supras. it looks too big for the car. sell it and get a type r spoiler, same design, but lower. dont give up though, you car has a lot of potential. you've just made some mistakes. so fix them. :p

guys, I understand you are trying to tell me what you think of my ride, so when I say this don't take it like I'm shunning your comments; but the wing is staying. It is a chick magnet and my bro. absolutely loves it. You lot may think it's totally stupid, but its responsible for making my car quite popular (or infamous) around campus, and around town. I have actually been the first to start a trend here. About 5 months ago I saw another civic in my hood with a spoiler just like mine. it ticked me off, I was like "he stole my idea!!". Then more came. Now I've seen about 6 civics with the same wing as me. One guy even has a red 95 civic with my wing on it. Looks exactly like my damn car!! It used to be unique, now its turning into a city-wide fad. scarry eh?

and the rims are nice. They look real good on my car, c'mon you know they do. ;) other things are listed in sig.

dude with the money u spent on ur rims u could have gotton a nice set of Si rims.. and the money u spent for that wing thing u could of dropped ur car and gotton clear corners with red/clear tailights! ok just my thoughts...

I wasn't dissing your rims, just sayin they don't flow with the spoiler.

And if you keep the spoiler, atleast back it up with something else flashy, like 17's or a bodykit or something.

It needs a drop. The car needs to be taken off the wing (heh heh). You should really modify it a lot more. It's near stock but w/ that hideous wing and an intake.

But, you seem to love your car. As all of our negative criticism has left you undaunted in your ways. Which is..i guess...respectable.


CXHatchback's car, on the other hand, is 100% phat. Sure, he may not have tons of stuff but he spent wisely and his car turned out pretty damn nice looking.

Those valve covers look HOTT when polished. Try again, it's nice. Hard work but it's worth it. Mine's powerdercoated so I can't do it without stripping it first.

Yea IMO i think you should lose the wing. Go with either no wing at all or just the stock wing. As for the rims, i guess i didnt notice them but the car needs some work so keep it up and keep us updated when you do something and take a pic too.

ok, the wing is exactly 1.5 inches LOWER than the roof of my car. I measured.:rolleyes:

and believe me, I would LOVE to get some hot ground effects and the full bodykit with a 1.5" drop, but quite frankly, it would totally screw up my car. I've said it before, but the roads in my area are AWFUL!!! potholes and cracks and dips and broken pavement, that drop and/or ground effects would be busted all to hades if I put it on there. I know what you mean about it looking "incomplete" but it still looks good imo.

I could do a custom hood though. The carbon fiber doesn't do anything for me, but what are y'all's thoughts on a hood? (I might do separate thread on this if no responses here)

and as for CXHatchback's car (no flame intended here) I don't see what's so "phat" about it. The rims imo are ugly and it looks stock save the removed (or never there) door bumper guard thingys. Just a normal civ hatch with ugly rims imo. the point is I guess I just don't see what you see in a nice car. I think Honda designed the 98+ GSR rims very nicely. I enjoy them. Plus, CXs didn't have moldings. And he has clears, red/clear tails, a drop, and a photoshopped Britney :D

Custom hood? you want to do all that and it'll still look out of place. But, a Predator hood does look nice IMO.


If you wish to modify your car you're going to have to take some risks. Learn to drive more carefully. Rick seems to do fine with his lowered car in Butler, PA and from what I hear - that place sucks (road wise).

you have no room to talk about CXHatchbacks car. his car is hella clean.

to get rid of the holes from the ugly wing, use some bondo or just get a body shop to do it.

i like it, im not a huge fan of the spoiler, and you didnt give an option between "it looks good" and the "lose the spoiler" options....so im the second one to say "it looks good"
basically i feel that if you dropped something burly under the hood, keep the spoiler.. or do something in the front to offset it....maybe a lip spoiler and some projectors, soemthing like that..
im not a big fan of spoilers on civics..i mean, some look decent... like, ive seen some that look like they are stock, look sorta like yours, but more squared off.....not rounded...i think that looks good. as for the wheels, i dunno how anyone really can make comments about them, i could barely see them? or did i not click some link to look @ the car or something? i was going by the 3 shots in your profile.
my suggestion/opinion: red/clears on the ass, clears on the front, lip spoiler (i like the tsunami one..kinda pointy, sporty, but not obnoxious) would be a definate benefit..not a full kit or anything, so it'd only cost you a couple hundered bucks......you spent 500 on that wing, so dont bitch about the cost!
all in all, i say just work with what you have from here. dont be afraid to do something different that no one else at school is doing......which imo could be the only reason you got that spoiler..but i dunno...i thought i heard you mention in in an earlier post. kids will be impressed w/ a front lip spoiler and new lighting i think ;)

I'm truly with 1995hondacivic and VTEC_boi. CXHatchbacks' car is way better than yours. I mean...it's not that phat, but at least he has done something to it (such as lowered, tail light, gsr rims). U've done nothing to ur car at all. You called those junks that u listed in ur signature mods (uh...ok, maybe except the DC sports short ram)???? Don't you feel shame at all? It's ok if you have a car like that, but you don't have to show out and make people laught at you.:rolleyes:

ok, i saw the link to your page..saw the wheels. "eh" i dont think they look /bad/. tho i think some 15s, or 16s would look nicer, with less tire wall.. otherwise i dunno, not worth beating on i dont think. a slight drop, and my other suggestions (in my opinion) would be nice.

...as for you VS CXHatchback, im gonna side with him.........but only because i love hatchbacks more than life itself.........hopefully ill have a 93 Si to go with my 92 CX soon! ;)

hey dreemkill, thanks for the suggestions and mature comments. I appriciate it. Even if its not a prop, its still just as good. This thread was really just to see if anyone's opinion of my car had changed. I know most people here don't like it, I was just seeing if it got kinda "used to" around here to where people thought it was good now. meh.

Also, I wasn't trying to knock CXHatchback's car. I think its alright and is definately clean, but the point was I didn't think it was "all that" and that I can appriciate differing opinions. Of course, I would take his hatch over my coupe as well simply cuz its a hatch. I like the smaller cars better, I just got this one cuz it was cheap, close and in dang good condition.

I know my car isn't awesome, but I seriously don't understand why you lot think its so bad. Most I see just say lose the wing, but there are a fair # who say to trash it. hmmm. Everyone is different eh?

ps- I don't mind the harsh comments, I may not like them but if its what you really feel then thats what I was asking for so I'll just take em and not bich about it.

Ok, one more side note: the wing being $500.00 was a long story. It was only supposed to be $270. But it was my first mod and I didn't know anything about anything about cars so I got screwed time and time again until my final cost was right about $500. I learned alot and I wish I had that wasted $230 back, but I still think it looks good, lol.

first thing i would do is put some all red tails on there. i think that looks good on red cars cuz it flows with the back. i'm not really feeling the wing and i think the money could of been spent better. since your not really looking into doing up the exterior u should get to work on the interior or engine. u ever consider a swap or anythng like that.

I remember when I FIRST got into modifying civics(during that time practically NO ONE had them modified in my area), and I before I got my 5th gen civic I wanted the supra wing(BUT I had never seen it on a car) and I kept on looking for one and then when I got my 5th gen red civic, I bough clears(which turned into red/clears), front corners, car audio, wheels, and springs/shocks. But during that time I saw the Supra wing on a few cars and to me its just WAY to big for a civic. I'm not doubting your car because honestly if you just took off the wing and lowered it a lot more people would like it, or add a body kit. Just to make it flow. But hey if your happy with it, thats all that matters right?
