Ford Question

Hey guys. My buddy has a 98 Cobra, and I was wondering if you could help me with a gift. For his birthday, I want to get him a short-shifter. What brand is like the covetted Ford brand? Like for my Honda, Spoon and Mugen are sought after. What would be a good short-shifter to get him? Thanks.

Hurst, Pro 5.0, B&M. Those 3 are the most popular and the best quality. There might be more that I'm forgetting but, those are the top 3 that I can think of. If I had my choice I'd get the Hurst. They should run about $150.00. THAT MUST BE A GOOD FRIEND IF YOU WANT TO BUY HIM A $150 GIFT!! I've NEVER spent that much on my friends, they'd think I was wanting a piece of ass or something. lol. I think you'd be better off getting him a case of beer or a subscription to a Mustang magazine.

Is another good company that makes another quality shifter. There is no absolute best short shifter there is just good ones made by some quality companies the rest is personal preference.

MGW is the only company that makes a shifter that you can rotate the handle a full 360 allowing you to put it where you need it. The thing is so well made that there is a video (I can’t find it) that shows the handle supporting the weight of a bandsaw weighing over 1000lbs.
