car outside

my car has been banished from the garage :(

I now have to park outside, so I was wondering what you all do to protect your car's paint and general exterior from the elements? I recently gave it a good wax job, but I don't think that's gonna cut it. I like the fact that my 7 yr old paint is still Milano red. With the sun beating on it all day, I doubt it will remain milano red for much longer unless there is something you can do to protect it.

Thanks for any input.

There are other cars in this world that sit outside and have no problems. Your car will be fine. If you are that anal buy a car cover.

10 years from now it will be somewhat faded, otherwise hide from sprinklers and trees. :bandit:

dude, that really sucks, I would die if my car was not covered all day :). Yeah but a car cover is probaly your best bet, or find some old lady in your neighborhood who doesn't even use her garadge and park in there, tell her you will mow her lawn or something :D.

so there's no stuff to put on the car to protect the paint? hmmm.

I'm not anal enough to buy a cover for the mild winters here, I just thought the sun would damage the paint after a couple years if left untreated. Sorry if I offended anyone with my ignorance, sheesh.

As I said there are plenty of cars that have to sit outside. My car was outside for 2 years - just make sure you keep it clean and wax it twice a year. And don't use Kmart special stuff use the good stuff like Xymol or Meguairs or Mothers.

My car is going bald on top since it has to sit in the hot florida sun.

if you get a car cover make sure its white and nothing else. darker colors will just increase the paint fading process.

Why do you think cars that wear that gay ass bra are always faded really bad underneath?
