service engine light

Teh other day my change oil light came on, so of course I knew it was time to change.. that was 2 days ago, this morning instead of the change oil light coming on my service engine light came on.. I took it in for oil change everything was ok but my service engine light is still on.. what is wrong.. it's 1999 GT if that makes a difference...

OOPS forgot----For Free

I had the same problem.... this will sound stupid but I called two places and they told me the same thing AND it was the problem....

I had filled the car with gas and closed the cap but I did not turn it so I heard three clicks (who would have thought).... So I had to fill the tank again, close the cap, let it click for 3 clicks and that worked the light went off and has not come back on.

A mechanic told me that, I thought it was so stupid I called GM and sure as hell they told me the same thing.
