Has Anyone Ever Heard Of Someone Extending A Extended Cab Into A Crew Cab? If So Where Was It And How Much Did It Cost

check that out... its a ford F-650 that they made into a 4 door extended cab. I forget if they name the company that did it but I have seen something like it on tv befor as well. Not sure if its really worth it. I would just buy a 4 door...

My understanding is the frame on an ext cab regular 6' bed is the same frame as the crew cab "Short Bed." Do a little research....

Jethro is right, the frames are the same length, but the beds are obviously different length. For your homeade job to work you would either need to buy a 5'8" bed or extend your frame, I think. It would probably just be easier and probably cheaper to go buy a new CC. Unless you are a master fabricator with tons of time on your hands and something else to drive.

Why the heck do they make the back of it look so stoopy!!! Like if your gonna raise the truck then make the fenderwells match. Look how normal the front looks. Why not make the back of it look decent too.
The "Overbuilt" wagon is pretty cool but, completely impractical unless you haul and trailer alot....

One of the material applicators I work with has one of these "TANKS." In TX as I understand it if the GVWR is 25,000 or above, truck or truck & trailer, you are required to obtain a CDL. His warrenty is something like everything covered for 200K miles. They had to bring him a replacement 3 months ago when his broke down outside of Vegas on the way to LA. He says he gets just as good gas mileage as he did in an F-350. And yes he paid $100K. His point was most things on the truck are reliable enough he should get 500K miles before he needs to buy a new one, just his opinion.... It is a tank :spit:
