Cool. Reminds me of the Suzuki Alto kit I got some years ago.

You should go 180 degrees from the Evo diorama and make this one like a teddy bear delivery van, or a car used to take puppies and kittens to their new homes. LOL

the car will be in purple blue color ? or should i choose bright orange ?

quadzero
12-27-2005, 06:28 AM
althou i really like the purple blue idea, this is such a neat little car i'd go with the bright orange. just a louder colour i think and would go nice with the interior too.

Nice progress on the Mira. The bright orange looks like brown though... By the way... I think it is better for you to fit the rear bonnet/hood before putting on the glass.

Did you use the masking tape that you bought from my friend's shop? How was it? I think the masking tape works great right? Hope you can get this thing finished without any flaws. Good luck.

Some rubbing and polishing will smooth out the orange peel effects.

cham2020
12-29-2005, 04:25 AM
yea druid
i will fix it before the glasss...
well, the masking tape works on the seats but doesn't seem work on the body...i masked and spray.. my...it bleeds!
esp at the parts that have no curve ins like the rear windows..understand wat i mean ?

yah.... it looks brown.and i need a fwe more layers to acheive orange.....the bumpers are perfectly sprayed..heh.e.
thanks druid

the scratch built rear bonnet is still in progress :icon16:

here is the model after polishing it a bit . i painted the antenna, the door key holes, the signals lamps at the fenders and bumper and the mesh grills.

as you see the black stuff is sprayed with flat black or CF wannabe.. i will stick it to the bonnet after i complete the model..made of masking tape

still doing the rear bonnet..really frust..i am using back the original bonnet instead of scratch build cause i notice i need only to break it and fill the gaps.. then it can be reuse...i will keep the spare bonnet though :icon16:

i going to add a spoiler at the roof and it's taken from tamiya mustang kit...

I think a smaller spoiler like the ones the VW Golf MK IV rally car had (And many of the Super 1600 rally cars now) would look really good on that.

Looks good. So will you use the smaller spoiler? No worried about the Mustang: Just have to buy another kit to get a different spoiler for that one LOL

Without the rear bumper that kind of looks like the Lancia Delta S4 rally car.

the upper part is a bit bend to the inside...but ovearll i am quite satisfy as it's my first attempt at scratch building :)
