overhead console, plug and play?

Guys,

Got a 99 Expe. XLT ,
Where the over head computer is (Compass/Temp/Gas mileage) I have a cover over it. Looks like the original owner never got this option.

Q: Is it possible to buy the comp for this and just plug and play?
What else is needed if I want to hook this up? There is a wire harness behind the cover, but not sure I will need more than just the comp.
