Stereo Electronic Install

Hi,
I am going to install an IPOD adapter into my 05 corolla. It is the Harman Kardon Drive and Play System which consists of a hand controller, CPU, and display screen. Below is a link to a website showing how to install it. The right side of the page has additional links to other install pages:

I am going to install the controller by mounting it to the storage bin door below the ac/heating controls. I think I will also put the CPU in that storage bin:

To mount it, I will drill holes through that bin door but I also have to run a cable from the controller to the CPU. Is there a way to remove the bin "box" so that I can drill holes in the back wall of the box. That way the controller cord will run from the controller in front of the bin door, through the door and to the CPU. The CPU will have a cord going through the back of the box. From there, will I be able to run the CPU cord up to the stereo? (It is an aftermarket pioneer deck, this pic is a stock corolla)
Also, the CPU will need a power supply. Will there be a spare power connecter behind the stereo that I would be able to run to the CPU in the storage bin?
As for where to actually put the IPOD, Im still toying with ideas. I think I would like to just put in in the glove box. But again, will I be able to run a cord to connect the CPU to the IPOD in the storage bin?
I'm thinking a lot of the face plates in that center dash will have to be removed so I can run cords easily. If anyone call tell me how to do that I'd appreciate it.
Any other input appreciated,
