99 jeep

99 jeep gets stuck in 4wd.
my jeep has problems getting out of 4wd back to 2wd ..any ideas?

I had trouble at first with my 95. If I pulled out of mud, sand, or snow onto a hard surface, it wouldn't shift back into 2wd. If I shift to 2wd just as I get onto to the hard surface, it shifts with no problem at all. I think it binds up from being on the non-slippery surface in 4wd.

I agree with Jeepme. i have a 96 4wd and i change it before i get competly out of the slippery mud. It seems to chage easier to me. hope this helps some
