i raced a 2001 oldsmobile alero and i thought i was going to beat it hands down, and much to my surprise i only beat it by a car length. I dont know,i kind of expected better. was it because the oldsmobile is faster then i expected or did i not push my car to it fullest potential? i also raced my friend in his s2000 and i was expecting to get stomped, i beat him by about three car lenghs, my friend triend deniying trying to race me but my other friend that was with him said he was going all out. im confused

The Spec-V can beat an Alero by at least a few car lengths but it cannot beat an S2000 unless it's been moderately modified. The S2000 driver wasn't trying, no matter what your friend says.

Which is faster a 2002 se-r spec-v or a 1996 300zx. Because i've seen a 1996 300zx beat a S2000 by around 2 car lengths. not sure how well the drivers are, and i dont know if the cars were stock or not. or atleast they didnt look "riced" out or anything.and i also seen the same car(300zx) eat alive a 1989 iroc z28 305. wow, i mean there was a large gap!!

Yeah, IROCs are not fast when they're stock. They run around a high 14. The 300ZX is much faster than them all. The Z must've been stock for only beating the S2000 by 2 lengths, which sounds about right. The Z owner could've easily just added a boost controller and stomped the S2K by almost 10 lengths.

You also have to consider the 305 is probably a little run down. I ran my friends 305(non Iroq) and kicked his ass pretty hard in my spec. He had a set of racing gears too, i think.

i think it depends on the s2000.......i pulled one by about a half car from a 45 roll, he hit vtec and redlined his gears and everything, but then i also got romped on pretty hard by one a few days later, idk what to think

Yeah but don't you have a few mods done to your car? Either way, the one you lost to later could have been the 2004+ with the 2.2L instead of the 2.0L. It makes the same horsepower, but has a bit more TQ, and also I think if he kept stock wheels it would be different too because they switched from 17's to 16's that year so they has less rotational mass.
