97 Cougar XR7 Excellent except engine

Went to start my XR7 Friday night and the engine went CLACK, CLACK, CLACK. I've determined it is upper engine trouble, not lower but no time to fix so I bought a Sable this week. What do I do with my 97 XR7 now that it has engine trouble. The exterior is near MINT interior is good, and in the 4 years I've had this car NEVER have I had a problem with anything other than 2 flat tires, and a dead battery. BTW I have two brand new michelin tires on it and it has a new battery.
I owe 2800 but will accept a decent offer. I'm on Long Island NY.
4.6 ltr 8 cyl. automatic. Luxury Model, fully loaded, leather etc.

lol ....wize guy eh? I called fed-ex and they said Texas is out for overnight delivery due to the Holiday traffic. Maybe Santa can help but I heard Rudolph went on strike with NY MTA. Oh wait, the strike is over. ok calling Santa for you now.
