87 Monte Carlo question

Im not an expert with the whole exhaust system, but im about to upgrade all of my exhaust because i want my car to be much louder. I would like my car to sound extremely loud even while idling. If an exhaust "expert" could help me out, i mean do i just need a new muffler? or all of the parts, and if so what what would be the best kind(loudest). thanks

alright buddy...get headers, some decent ones will run you about 100-150 bucks, and go with glasspacks, or 40 series flowmasters...the loudest. 2.5 inch pipes, and mandrel bent...dont go bigger, kills the performance...no cats, unless state makes you..then punch them. and large tips to resonate, like the 2.5 inch to 4 inch tips...chrome, looks nice, sounds nice. would that help? that is what i will do to my 88ss
