Got a cable off trademe (Nz auction site).
Installed all the latest drivers, and the fucking computer still doesn't notice the phone is connected. I KNOW my USB is fucked, and I've followed the instructions to the letter, so I think it must be the cable that's rooted.
Has anyone else had issues with these phones?

YES - I tried to get a co workers working and it was a f*cking nightmare. It turns out that even though she thought she bought a genuine Nokia cable, it was a cheap asian ripoff that didn't work.
Is the Nokia logo anywhere on the cable? Can you test with another phone of the same model?

Yeah this would be the cheap Asian rip off.
I am NOT going to pay $199 for a genuine one.
I'll get the dude to replace mine and if it doesn't work I'll get a refund.

Okay, new cable works, but now a software issue. Every time I connect the phone I have to reinstall everything from scratch. What the FUCK.
