93 mercury villager thermostat

i just did this a couple weeks ago the tstat goes in backwards springs toward the housing not the engine block took awhile to figure out and the book isnt much help

If the tstat has a little metal piece that jiggles on it, make sure it faces UP or you'll have problems with air in the system that'll overheat the engine....

I agree and you should always use OEM for those parts. They are cheap and considering the age of the vehicle even cheaper from the dealer than the parts store in most cases.
