um, the headgaskets are the same i think. I used a z6 gasket on my a6, unless the b2 head is that much different.

there are different part #s for the 2. the a6,b2,b7 have the same part number but the z6 was different

wow, jeez seings its a totally different motor id expect it to have a different part number, and its a full metal gasket instead of a composite gakset like all the other sohc 4th gens.

It will work just fine, I did it on my 89 si and drove it many miles after with no problems at all, and if you have to replace it again ever, its way easier to remove since it wont leave anything behind.

well the 6th gens dx and ex have the same part number for their hg and they are 2 different motors.

but metal is better than that paper gasket bs

Yeah but they are also both 6th gens. Like how the 4th gens all have the same part #.

And how is metal being better than paper BS? All the high compression honda motors have metal gaskets. Same with aftermarket gaskets, being copper and such.

but you see the a6, b2, and the 5th gen b7 motor have the same part number and the 5th gen z6 has a different part number. while the 6th gen dx and ex have the same part number.

the b7 and the z6 are different but they are the same year.

also i wasnt saying that the metal vs paper gasket and the metal being better is bs. im refering to the paper gasket being bs because it sucks compared to metal gasket

dude, have you ever looked at a b7? its bascially a d15b2 but run on mpfi and obd1. I would expect it to be the same part number.

I bet if you looked on the emissions sticker under the hood of the b7 it would share the same engine family code too.

If you're replacing the headgasket, most places recommend you to get the z6 gasket unless you're doing a build from scratch...
