i have an ex-police caprice and it runs like a champ other than minor repairs like any used car. i am getting a fresh coat of paint soon and i am looking for opinions. it has the navy interior should i paint it back factory navy blue or gray?

Whatever color it is now is probably best. It's a lot more work to change the color on a car, with all the extra stuff to be painted like door jambs, etc. Staying the same color is cheaper and easier.

There are certain interior/exterior color combos that work, and some that don't. Black and gray interior are considered "neutral" colors that will work generally with any exterior color. Blue, as yours has, works good with blues, whites, grays and black. Tan/beige/coffee work best with browns, tans, darker grays, whites, reds, greens, yellows and black. Reds work best with reds, browns, tans, whites, grays and black. Green works best with, well, greens.

it is so much easier to stay with the factory color, no door jambs and crevases (sp?) to worry about..it'll prolly look a whole lot better even in the same color with that high gloss
